ROSTERS
30 players
- 25 man Majors
- 5 man minors to be designated before each series
*You can only bring a man up from the minors in a series if there is an injury
KEEPERS:
- You can keep up to 16 players each year
- Keepers are due by Friday December 7th, 2012
DRAFT:
- Wednesday January 9th, 2013
- A 14 round draft each year will be a serpentine draft
- You can not trade future draft picks until after all keepers are in
- You can not trade next years draft picks
*This rule should maintain some competitive balance.
- Each draft pick has to have played in the Major Leagues the previous year.
PLAYOFFS:
- The top five teams will make the plays
- Team 6 — or the first team to miss the playoffs — will get the first pick.
- Team 7 — or the second team to miss the playoffs — will get the second pick.
- Team 8 — or the team with the worst record — will get the third pick.
- Picks 4-8 will go in revert back to first team eliminated from playoffs with worst record to World Series winner.
PLAYOFF SCHEDULE:
Wild Card Game:
- 5 seed vs. 4 seed
Semis:
- Wild Card winner vs. 1 seed
- 3 seed vs 2 seed
*Winners will advance to the World Series where the higher seed will receive home field advantage
PLAYOFF FORMAT:
- We will be using a 2-2-1-1-1 format
TIE BREAKERS:
- Record
- Head to Head
- Coin Toss (exception for 1st place by or last wildcard spot which will result in a one game playoff)
PLAYER REQUIREMENTS:
Position Players:
- 450+ at-bats = eligible to play 5 games
- 350-449 = eligible to play 4 games
- 250-349 = eligible to play 3 games
- 150-249 = eligible to play 2 games
- 149 and under will be eligible to pinch hit
Starting Pitchers:
- Your starting pitchers must total a minimum of 1100 innings pitched on their cards and your entire staff must have a minimum of 1400 innings pitched.
- Starting pitchers will take their innings on the card and times them by .9 and round up to the next inning.
* Example: Zack Grienke pitched 171.2 innings, multiplied by .7 (119.84) which would round up to 120 innings pitched.
Relief Pitchers:
- Those with a 1 dot can pitch a maximum of 3 innings in a series
- Those with a 2 dot can pitch a max of 4 innings in a series
- Those with a three dot can pitch a max of 5 innings in a series
- etc. etc.
FREE-AGENTS (Add/Drops)
You will be allowed on Free Agent pick-up on:
- Friday March 29th
- Friday April 26th
- Friday May 31st
- Friday June 28th
Waiver Wire order will run reverse order of the standings. Meaning, the 8th place team will have first pick, seventh place will pick second, and so on.
NOTE* You will not be allowed to keep anyone who you pick up via free agency. Also, you must drop a player when adding a player.
MISCELLANEOUS:
- You must pick your ballpark by Jan. 26th and it must remain constant for the year. You may change your ballpark at the start of each season, but in doing so will lose your fifth round pick.
- If you fall THREE SERIES BEHIND for more then one week, you will be replaced.
- Visiting teams must announce minors and starting rotation prior to the start of their series.
- We have a new injury chart. Players can only be hurt for remainder of series
- The player has to play the position on his card. There is no more moving a RF to CF and gaining on fielder rating.
- We are playing the first three Wednesdays of every month. Make up games can be made whenever. Dave will host the 4th Wednesday of each month to try and continue some flow to the season (this will be the make-up week)
